Izuku got the little Togepi and found out more about it, he decided immediately to pass down his super hero name 'Deku' into him. He saw himself in Deku,
someone seemingly powerless and underestimated but with potential, so it seemed like a logical step.
The fact that Deku is a very eager to battle little thing and rather ferocious (as ferocious as it can be for now, anyway) during battles makes Izuku wonder if Bakugou wouldn't be a better match for him, but he supposes it's also its own form of hard work. If nothing else, Deku seems to be very fond of Izuku and his companion Pokemon too.

If there's a Pokemon in his roster that Izuku can say he doesn't know too well, it'd be Night Owl. She's a shy little thing that seems to prefer silently accompanying both Izuku and the other Pokemon, part of the group while also not interacting too much with them. He hopes it'll change as they travel, though.
Honey Bee is another Pokemon Izuku wouldn't expect to be very suited for battle, yet surprised him in the end. Honey Bee proved to be a resilient little thing since battle for its capture, and he seems to enjoy battling to boot.

A recent hatch, Oohirume was a Pokemon that Izuku was absolutely looking forward to; not only because it'd be his first hatch, but also because he'd been curious about Vulpix.
Needless to say, the fact that she's terrified of of even her own fire was a surprise and a half. As is how much she loves water, really.
